What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at 11 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and FLEX, conveniently loaded onto your I Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes give you access to our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, North Dining.
Flex Dollars
FLEX Dollars may be used at any IUP Dining location. Visit our locations page for location information, including dining hall menus and hours of operation.
Meal Exchange
Meal Exchange and Cash Equivalency You may also use Meal Swipes at Bento Sushi, Food on the Run, Greens to Go, Grille Works, Mashville, Folger Late Night or Pastabilities. The Meal Swipe include options are different for each location. Cash Equivalency allows you to use your meal swipes at retail dining locations. Cash equivalency is not accepted at Chick-fil-A, Starbucks or Crafted by Commonplace. The current exchange rate is $6.18 per meal.
Guest Meals
Each meal plan comes with five guest meals that can be used at North Dining to treat family or friends.Meal Plan Benefits

Managing Your Plan
There are three ways you can check your Meal Swipes and FLEX Dollars balance:
- By asking a cashier at any dining location for an inquiry
- By registering your card on this site.
- Visit the meal plan office in North Dining Hall
